I have one assistant and two other trained bodyguards. That is the make up of my team, and I’ve made sure each member is an ex-Marine.
I know how to work with fellow Marines and they know how I like to run things. I can’t say my business is exactly booming right now, but we’re getting there now. So when Jeff, my assistant, tells me about the security detail job that has come up for a local wedding, I’m more than happy to hear about it.
Effie sits in the booth across from me and I can’t stop myself from staring. I know I really should focus on what she’s saying, but she has a body that is calling out to be touched. Curves in the right places…

And that is when it hits me. My ring. The wedding. He thinks I’m the bride-to-be.
