I run the garage and the Hawk’s Nest bar in Hawk Valley. My two loves, beer and cars, are all I need. I’ve always been fine on my own. I left the city to find my peace in the mountains, and I don’t want for anything.
Then, the most beautiful, curvy woman runs into my bar on a cold, rainy night, needing more than help—she needs shelter.
And suddenly, what I thought I always wanted changes drastically.

I thought when a divorce happens, things are over. That apparently isn’t the case, at least not with my ex-husband.
All I’ve ever wanted was to start over with my bakery business with the money my beloved aunt left me, but now my ex thinks he has a claim to that money. So, I escape the city and him after a horrible fight and flee to the mountains.
Through the heavy rain, the blurry neon lights of a bar are my beacon of hope…and the mountain man inside just might be my safe place.
