I’m late for my final exam in college, and with my luck, I’m stuck in bumper to bumper traffic. If my life couldn’t get any worse, I crash into the car in front of me.
When Dante insists that I go back to his place so that he can make sure I have not been harmed, I try fighting it. But there’s something about the hunky, older doctor that drives my knees to jelly.
My head, and my protective father, tells me I must stay away from the man. But my pounding heart speaks a different story.

My clients don’t come to me because of my bubbly personality or with hopes that I’d have candy in a jar once they leave. They come to me because they know I’d give them the best damn medical attention. I do not let them any of my patients until I am convinced they will be okay.
But I have never been the cause for someone’s injury before. I blame myself because I know my mind was elsewhere. If I was alert and moved when the rest of the cars did, she would not have rammed into me, but that is no excuse. Now, it’s up to me to make sure the pretty young thing is safe, and no further harm falls on her.
I have to keep reminding myself that the curvy beauty in front of me is a patient. A doctor cannot have these dirty thoughts of his patient, no matter how beautiful she is.
But, I’m not sure I can hold the same level of professionalism once she is no longer my patient…
