A girl can only play hide-and-seek for so long until she’s found. Unfortunately for me, the game’s up.
I figured the night would protect me, help keep me safe. After sticking with the shadows for so long, I’d all but become one – an empty void of a person, barely living. Just going through the motions. Still wrapped up in a cocoon.
Then he came for me. Danger and darkness, laced together in one hell of a pretty package. I shouldn’t want him, but I do.
