She shows up in the middle of a storm like a lost fairy. A very pregnant lost fairy. Seriously, my new neighbor is a pregnant, divorced woman that knows nothing about living on a mountain! So she shows up on my doorstep looking for help and I scare her so bad she passes out at my feet. Yeah, that’s how my days have been going lately. My business is going great but my personal life is non-existent. Until I touch Cookie. Now my freaking body is telling me that this is my woman. And the cherry topping on my life? I got pregnant too. The jerk. Her family insists that he needs to be totally free of me and my child to be with her. So that’s what he does. I’m alone on a mountain in another state with no friends or family for support. And when I do look for help, I run across Dane Carter. The grumpy next door neighbor that’s so hot I pass out at his feet. Could things get any worse? I don’t know but I’m not going to say that too loud because I’ve already locked my keys in my car today too. Seriously, just call me the queen of disaster.
