Korbin, the king of the wolf shifters, lay dying of a poisoned arrow through his chest when Vince arrived to speak with him about his plan. The two form a bond nearly as close as mates. They both believed that the bond would be severed when one of them found their mate. The two powerful allies become the first members of the shifter council. Not all goes smoothly, however. When Korbin’s true mate is discovered, he assumes that his bond to Vince was severed. He was wrong. The three must find a way to cope with the bond that ties Vince and Korbin, together before it costs Vince his life. The shifter council and their plans for the future hang in the balance and with it, the survival of all shifters.
