A reluctant cowboy, Logan left his family ranch against his parents’ wishes to pursue a career as a freelance photographer. His latest assignment brings him to Blossom Creek and the O’Neill Bed and Breakfast, which is a also one stop wedding venue.
When he tangles with Maggie, sparks fly and the two begin to fall for each other, in spite of her reluctance to trust someone who’s already been divorced and makes no secret of his nomadic life style.

Just before Christmas, a storm hits Blossom Creek and Maggie and Logan are trapped at the B and B. As they warily settle in to wait it out, they find an abandoned puppy outside the inn. They care for it together, and begin to let their guard down. As the storm rages outside, they finally open up to each other and Maggie realizes she has real feelings for Logan, and he for her. As they tentatively begin to explore a relationship, Logan gets his next assignment.

Since his divorce, which was caused at least in part by his unhappiness at being the heir apparent to his family cattle ranch, Logan has refused to make any commitments. When he realizes he has fallen in love with Maggie, he panics and jumps at the chance to move on to his next assignment.

Logan’s decision to continue his no-strings life rocks Maggie, bringing to the surface painful feelings of abandonment that began with her mother’s death and her father’s abandonment.
Will Maggie be able to leave the past behind and take a chance on love? And will Logan be there when she does?
