I admit, it was good advice after a break up. Although, I never thought I’d hit it off with a devilishly handsome rookie running back my first night out.
Martin Avondale.
He’s been called “fresh meat” so many times I’m surprised he doesn’t answer when people use the phrase. This town is full of gorgeous women ready to do anything just to meet him. And you can see in their eyes they want so much more.
Think I beat the odds? Nope. My life’s now coming apart at the seams. I fell for the right man, but my friend and coworker thought he was the right man for her too. As did hundreds of other women looking to score.
I used to be a nobody, a new hire, a worker bee. I must admit, that all felt quite comfortable. Now I’m the center of a vicious rumor mill that’s threatening my job, my friendships, and my new love.
Everyone says this isn’t going to work, that there isn’t a chance in hell I can pull this off.
But they don’t know Martin like I do. And they have yet to see how strong this worker bee can be!
