In the span of a few years, I lost my husband, my job, and my home was on the brink of loss as well.
My life sounded like a country song cliche. All I had left was to lose my dog and to drown myself in beer. Good thing I didn’t have one in the first place and wine was my beverage of choice.
When my best friend suggested I find a sugar daddy in a last ditch attempt to avoid losing my home, we almost peed ourselves laughing… then we drunkenly created a profile on a sugar dating website.
I didn’t expect to actually find anyone interested in my somewhat fake online persona.

I couldn’t shake the feeling of guilt, though. For some reason, I felt like I was betraying my dead husband’s best friend, but those feelings were in no way justified since we had never so much as kissed. Despite that, my heart felt beholden to him.
Now, I’m potentially dating one man while my heart yearns for another, one who should be off limits anyway.
