This is my fresh start. My new life. And it’s on my terms.
My entire life my drunk father told me I was a waste of life. In his eyes, I’m nothing but an overweight failure.
Well, I refuse to see myself through his eyes anymore.
I packed up my stuff and drove across the country. Now I’m opening a pottery studio right next to the town fire station.
When I catch a glimpse of who my new neighbors are, I’m stunned. These guys belong on one of those fantasy firemen calendars! One with boyish smirk, dark hair and green eyes, the other with a killer smile, sandy locks and beautiful baby blues.
And the way Zach and Desi look at me, with those flames of desire burning in their eyes, I can finally see myself as the sexy, beautiful woman I am.
I just want to slide down their poles and play with their big, thick hoses until the blaze that they’ve ingnited inside me is extinguished.
‘Cause you know what they say about firefighters: They find them hot and leave them wet.
That’s exactly what I hope they’ll do!
