I was living a crazy life as a nighttime bartender with the only constant in my life being my best friend. There were men in my life, but they’d be gone long before anything real, since I felt nothing more than attraction to any of them. I was known as Nic, the player. A lot of people didn’t like it, but I didn’t care since it was my life.

I started to question it when Colton came into the bar one night. He was the one that made me want more before he violently ripped my heart from my chest. Once the dust settled, I vowed to keep everything casual.
This time, his heart was broken, and he wasn’t back in town for a good reason. I knew he needed me even as my mind told me to be careful. I knew I should take this slow, but it was Colton. He was my everything, and I fell in love more every moment that I spent with him.
