Bobcat shifter Trace Ryan moved to Vale Valley to find his brother Noah after a lifetime of not knowing him. After being reunited with his brother and his new family, Trace has focused solely on building a life in Vale Valley so he can stay close to them. Working on set design at the Vale Valley Repertory Theater has been interesting and he’s made a few friends, but for the most part, he keeps to himself when he’s not with his brother’s family.
Crewe Jordan is on his way to Atlanta to check out a prospective job opportunity when things go sideways. He’s been feeling restless and discontent in his pack in California, but he’s not sure what he’s looking for or where to find it. When his car breaks down in the middle of nowhere, he has no choice but to run in his wolf form until he can call for help.
As an unmated omega, Trace has to be careful to avoid strangers when he’s close to his heat. So when an unfamiliar black wolf starts sniffing around his property, Trace has no choice but to defend himself. A bobcat is no match for a wolf, but neither put up much of a fight when Trace pounces, both more focused on suppressing other urges.
