Cam’s death is on me and I can’t get it out of my head!
What good am I if I can’t save my own brothers? I don’t deserve to live!
He was more than just a fellow soldier or friend, he was a brother to me and I couldn’t save him.
Being his commanding officer, I made him drive the Humvee, when it should’ve been me.
That bullet was meant for me, but now my brother is gone!
I was swallowed by guilty the entire flight back from Afghanistan.
I vow to never put any of my MC brothers in a position like that again!
But the minute we touched down on U.S. soil, I knew the next mission would be even harder than letting Cam go.
I had to tell his younger sister that he was dead…
The minute I saw her, it all came rushing back to me!
Cam told me about her pain and how he wanted to kill the man causing her that pain.
Now that mission was my responsibility.
I could tell by the terror in her eyes, that she was hurting inside.
After she heard the news, she collapsed into my arms and that’s when I knew..
I had to save her
I had to protect her
and in order to do that..
I had to make her mine!
But will that mean I have to become the savage I thought I left behind?
