An instalove short and steamy romance

Inappropriate does not begin to describe the email my new assistant sent me.
“I’ll be the one in the skimpy outfit” isn’t even the worst thing she wrote.
I rack my brain for a rational explanation as to why she would proposition me,
but I can’t find one.
On what planet is sharing your fantasy with your new boss acceptable?
Things only ratchet up to nuclear when it turns out she’s stunning,
and has an effect on me I can’t explain.
All I know for sure is that this whole thing spells trouble.

And I certainly don’t need any more of that.
The twisted burn scar on the inside of my arm is a reminder, as if I need one.
I came all the way to San Francisco from Sydney to escape that kind of trouble.
I will never let myself be burned by anyone again—literally or figuratively.
And yet, everything about Elle screams that we were meant to meet.

At 23, the last thing I thought I would be is the guardian to my fifteen-year-old sister,
working three night jobs to make ends meet,
prepping meals in a crockpot,
and buying Ziplocs by the truckload.
And yet, here I am.
So, when I land an executive assistant job that pays twenty grand more than all those jobs put together, I’m not gonna do anything to screw it up.

Too bad my sister doesn’t feel the same.
She doesn’t want me missing the school drop offs,
so she decides to write an email to my boss
that makes him think I’m going to put the moves on him in some hot boss/secretary fantasy.
She is so punished, but I’m mortified.
Just when I think it couldn’t get any worse,
it turns out I start having those steamy office affair fantasies all on my own.
And what’s more, I’m pretty sure Nate is, too.
With so much to lose, surely we can keep things professional.
But when I see the way he fills out a shirt, I know I’ve got my work cut out for me.
