Here is a story about learning to expect the unexpected…while expecting in this not-so-accidental pregnancy with some very unexpected consequences. Charlotte’s life seems to be going nowhere. She works an unfulfilling job, has just added yet another guy to her long list of “nice guy” ex-boyfriends, and is still hopelessly in love with her relationship-phobic best friend and downstairs neighbor, Gavin.
After having a quarter-life crisis, Charlotte sees that her life is going nowhere exciting. She’s finally ready take her life into her own hands and become a mother. She decides to use an anonymous sperm donor and get artificially inseminated without telling Gavin, yet after the procedure is done, she can’t help but feel like maybe her feelings for him aren’t as one-sided as she previously thought. However, with a baby on the way and her entire life about to change, this realization couldn’t have come at a worse time.
