Mike, the uncle of Shay and her siblings, was an important human on Jaded. His future mate, Becka, who was a Majuri healer, was second only to Talai the head healer among the medical crew. They had dated a while, but neither were in a hurry to mate. Mike had been married before and loved his wife dearly. Maybe that was why he was in no particular hurry.
