A brutal attack in my youth has left me afraid of people, of intimacy, and of admitting my sexuality. I’ve lied, cheated, slept around, and run off and nothing’s helped. After leaving my life in Helsinki behind for a new chance in Japan, I’m now in Norway, on my third chance. I’m not sure I’ll get another one.
It’s here I meet Frey, who’s tentative and bruised and broken from his own brutal attack only a year ago. We’re nothing alike but that small thing we’ve got in common is bringing us closer. Closer than either of us expected when we first met. He was afraid of me then, and now we’re… what exactly?
Can we, both broken by assault and who has dealt with it in quite different ways, find a way to move forward that works for both of us?
