Steve “Mac” McCabe:
When my sister died, I gained custody of my nephew Dalton. Over the last six years, he has been my sole focus in life. He means as much to me, as if he were my own biological son, even to the point of calling me dad. I can’t afford to let anything in my life that could potentially hurt Dalton. Which is why when the gorgeous Royle Johnson comes into my life and Dalton’s, I try not to let him get too close. It’s not like a twenty-four-year-old male model could actually want anything to do with a thirty-two-year-old husky maintenance man and his ten-year-old son?

Royle Johnson:
I’ve been doing this modeling thing for six years now. What was once fun and exciting has become a tether to a life I no longer want. I may only be twenty-four, but I can feel myself tiring of life with little to no roots. I don’t want to say that my life is bad, because it’s not. And I never want to be one of those people who aren’t thankful for the great things that have happened to me. But I’m definitely ready for a change. When I meet Mac I’m smitten immediately. And when I meet Dalton I fall head over heels for the adorable little boy who talks like he’s decades older than he really is. But I understand Mac’s reticence to let me in his life. I just need to show him that I’m not just my age or my career, and if I can get by the barrier he’s put up, I might just be able to mean something to both of them.
