In a twisted replication of the Resurrection, the first vampire rose from his death. He is Judas Iscariot, the one who sold Christ out for thirty pieces of silver and betrayed the Son of Man with a kiss on the neck. He’s cursed to partake in the life-giving blood of others in order to survive, and his thirst and anger drive him to terrorize mankind.
But a modern world brings with it a more modern vampire. Where Jude, as he’s known now, once hunted purely for the enjoyment of his prey’s fear, now the thrill of seducing men drives him. Many have fallen for his deadly kiss. But looks are deceiving. This is no man to play with… because this is no man.
But anger can only sustain him for so long. For the past hundred years or so, restlessness has stalked him. He’s tired of it all. There has to be more to this eternal life. Without his righteous indignation, what is left?
The answer comes in the form of a slightly snarky and highly opinionated human named Matt. Attraction leads to something deeper. But can Jude let go of the past? The rage? Can he leave behind the darkness that rules his life? And more importantly, can he make the ultimate sacrifice in the name of love?
