Hannah, an 18 year old science prodigy who escaped the USS RideMay when it crashed in a glancing blow, has had enough of being stranded in space to last a lifetime. First, she survived the carniverous green squirrels, and then the planet disappeared out from under her! Then, she was picked up by slavers. Now, she’s trapped on a deadly ice-covered planet.
Through a series of fateful events, Hannah meets Izzik: the ninth son of a ninth son, outcast and left to die by his kin. But what Hannah doesn’t know is that her arrival on the barbaric, frozen wasteland Yze-Vylde fulfills a prophecy of a regime change, and Izzik will do anything to claim her as his own and return her to their king.
