Hunter Evans has always had conviction. He’s reliable, the guy that gets things done. So when he takes a simple job as a personal bodyguard for rock legend Daryl Dark, he doesn’t expect Daryl’s shy, mousy personal assistant, Emily Shepard, to piss him off at every turn.
The more time they spend together, the deeper she gets under his skin. The more time they spend together, the more he suspects that this anger might be another feeling—one he’s not prepared to utter or believe he could ever feel.
As the job draws to an end, Emily vanishes, leaving Hunter to decide if he’s willing to let her go and ignore his aching heart, or hunt her down and be her everything.
