Sophie:
I’m the adopted daughter of Maxum, the Preacher, Former Prez of the Midnight Saints. Only, I’m not welcome on their turf.
I’m different, a good girl, a shining star in my father’s eyes since his biological daughter turned on him. Though now, both of us need her help.
I didn’t believe it til I saw him; he has lost his mind with drugs. Violence and money rule his thoughts. I want him in rehab and then back in the Lord’s house. But trusting Kara was a bad idea.
