How Do You Know If You’re Dead, Alive, or Just a Ghost?

My name is Beth. I’m a college student, but I’ve spent my whole life being told I’m crazy because I see things other people don’t. Ghosts, or what I call Greys. I don’t know why I see them, but I do. Don’t believe what they tell you in movies and on TV; ghosts don’t haunt people. Because they don’t know we’re here. That tidbit, along with other things I’ve learned along the way about these inhabitants of Greyworld, helps me maintain whatever is left of my sanity.
Then I meet Jake. He has to be the most gorgeous guy I’ve ever laid eyes on, living or dead. And he doesn’t play by those sanity-saving rules. He can see me. Which begs the question, How do I know I’m not the one who’s dead?

But that’s not the only way Jake rocks my world. Together, we discover far more about Greyworld than I ever did alone. And we have a connection that transcends both of our worlds. He’s the only person who doesn’t think I’m crazy. But can Jake and I ever inhabit a world together? And which one of us is really alive?
