Favor for a Devil by Denise Aston

When Vice President of the Devils Warlords, Mac Wilson, has to ask Sonem Valley’s Head Librarian, Maria Papadopoulos, to do him a favor and be Mrs Claus, Mac knows Maria is unlikely to say yes because of their history. Mac wants to walk away and leave Maria be but he can’t because his Prez will use his failure to prove Mac isn’t fulfilling his role within the club; and without his position, Mac will lose his opportunity to gain the vengeance he seeks.
Maria can’t believe Mac has the nerve to ask her to be Mrs Claus when he shattered her heart and left her without a word. She’s perfectly happy to spend Christmas on her own … again … even if seeing Mac reminds her of what she lost and the rut she’s fallen into.
Then Maria learns things are not as they seem and she has to decide whether she clings to the sadness in her past or lets Mac win her over. One thing is for sure, if she agrees to help, it will be on her terms. She isn’t the teenage ninny Mac dumped years ago; she’s a woman who knows what she wants and this time around she will make sure she gets it.
