I know how the people in this city see me.
They’re afraid of me.
They sense the rage, burning inside me like a signal fire.
If they knew what I really am, they’d be even more afraid.
And then she waltzes in, x-raying me with those eyes of hers.
She’s obsessed with meetings, making me tense.
She actually listens to the things I say, takes them to heart.
It makes me furious.
I keep waiting for her to trip up.
To do something that justifies me firing her.
