My Little needs a time out from the naughty step. I’ve had no fun for so long I’m beginning to feel like I’m being punished. It’s so bad now that I have tears and heartache.
I don’t know where to go so flee to the only place that’ll take me in less than a week to New Year’s.
I speak in riddles because I can’t control it, but he gets me. He hears what I don’t say, he also hears what I do. I might be an attorney and he might be a doctor, but we meet on a level where we’re both in vulnerable headspace.

I need a new job like yesterday and the Haven needs me before next week. It’s a win-win in my book, so head on out to the Haven in Tennessee.
It’s so darling to witness these ladies being their innocent selves, indulged and cosseted, except now I have a new patient who tugs on my heartstrings so hard it literally palpitates when I’m around her. Falling for her I bide my time while we deal with threatening phone calls, rumors, and Holler Ridge’s biggest ever New Year’s Eve party.
I’ve never been a violent man but I am tonight. Its’ the perfect new year’s eve, but tomorrow will bring a whole new set of problems for us.
