Jaxon:
I’m a cop and I know how tough life can be.
My best friend died in the line of duty and my sister is now alone.
There’s no way I’m going to waste a second of my life when it could all be so short. I intend to live it to the full.
Okay, there are times when I may seem reckless, but that’s just a valve. I need to let off steam somehow.
Emma seemed like a nice girl when I met her on duty one night. She had a bit of a problem in a bar and one thing led to another.
I had no intentions of seeing her again but when I bumped into her in the hospital where she works I kind of changed my mind.

I’m a doctor at the local hospital but things are tough.
I look after my little sister Charlie and along with a stressful job she can be a handful at times.
Of course I enjoy hooking up with guys, but it can only ever be for a night. I have to try to protect my sister and be a good example to her.
But then there’s Jaxon, the cop who I slept with.
He is just about as perfect as any man I would want, but can I really allow myself and Charlie to get attached to him?
But Charlie being an 8-year-old, she knows how to manipulate a situation and get what she wants.
