Alexander Woodward wasn’t looking for love. His entire goal in life was to keep a low profile and stay out of trouble. He was trying to leave his past behind. The last thing he needed was the neighbor next door making him drop his guard. But, there he was, Benjamin Langtry, a man that Alex never thought he would have any interest in.

As Benjamin sat there, stuck in a computer programming project he was currently in, Alex couldn’t help but watch. Alex wondered if it was really worth getting involved with Benjamin knowing the kind of trouble that could be following Alex. He was on the run from a past that he couldn’t make up for.

Alex knew he had to resist the temptation. There was no way that he could let Benjamin get hurt over this. If that meant that Alex had to walk away and let Benjamin think what he wanted to think, that was what he was going to do. After all, Benjamin deserved better than an ex-gang member who worked at a bar as a bouncer. Benjamin deserved more than the life Alex could give him.
