A rookie firefighter with a chip on his shoulder and the curvy little sister of the fire department’s chief go from enemies to lovers when they’re partnered up for the holidays.

Scarlett:
When I come to visit my brother during a break from college, I expect to put my feet up and binge-watching something mindless on TV. Instead, he puts me to work running the annual toy drive for the Sunset Canyon Fire Department.
This project becomes even more annoying when I’m partnered up with one of the department’s rookies. Brooks seems to get his kicks from making my life difficult. Of course, he’s gorgeous. And, of course, in addition to giving me a headache, he’s giving me butterflies in my stomach.

Brooks:
I’m less than thrilled when I’m put on toy drive duty. With my training, I should be out in the field saving lives. But when I’m partnered with Scarlett, the chief’s sister, this assignment becomes more tolerable.
From the second we meet, I know she’s the only one for me. But she’s my boss’s little sister. She’s completely off-limits. I do everything I can to keep her at arm’s length. The more time we spend together, the harder she is to resist.
