I was the loner. The kid who sat in the cafeteria with his headphones on. It didn’t bother me, being alone. In fact I relished in it. The quiet solitude made it easy to do what I love the most. Write. Now that I’m in college life doesn’t look much different. I’m still the loner rocking his ear buds, I’m just older now. Wiser to the world and all that it entails. I was content with the way things were. Hiding out in the background and focusing on my music, and then I met her. She was smart, beautiful and completely out of my league, but I wasn’t the only one vying for her attention. For the first time in my life I was forced to step out of my comfort zone. I was forced to put myself out there and I was forced to make a choice.
