The British are coming… and so am I.

All I care about is graduating college and getting a job as a journalist. When I have to interview the college’s latest hotshot footballer, I find him half-naked, dripping in sweat, and oozing British charm. I can spot trouble from a mile away, and Charles Lewington might as well have ‘trouble’ tattooed on his huge, muscular, British chest.

Did I mention he’s British? Charles is making the switch from rugby to football, and he’s expected to get the college team to the top of the rankings. Not that he seems to care. Charles is more intent on getting into my underwear than winning games on the field or getting good grades. I try to ignore him. I don’t do footballers; not any more. Not after the last one.

Then I’m assigned to be Charles’ personal tutor. Resisting that British charm just got a whole lot harder. I have my secrets and Charles has a few of his own. Big ones. I should run and never look back, but I know he’s not like the others. He’s not like my ex. I can trust him… I think.
