Already a semi-notorious media hound and celebrity P.I., Black is now actively feared and coveted by every defense contractor and human military in the world.
Worse, he’s got his own government breathing down his neck, not to mention his own race, the seers, who want Black dead for exposing their species to the humans, and putting all of them in mortal danger.
That doesn’t even get into the vampires. Or his mate’s psychotic seer uncle, who wants to design a world where seers run everything, where the vampires are all dead or enslaved, where humans are little more than puppets of their seer “masters.”
Miri, Black’s mate, is hardly thrilled her husband handed her this mess, or once more threw her in the path of the human media, various assassins, the anger of her Uncle Charles… not to mention the United States’ military industrial complex.
