As the newest room parent at my son’s elementary school, I’ve been put in charge of making sure today’s visit from the Jade Mountain Search & Rescue team goes smoothly. That task gets off to a rocky start when the crew’s helicopter flips up my skirt Marilyn Monroe-style as it lands.
And as if that wasn’t embarassing enough, the pilot of the helicopter turns out to be my childhood best friend. I haven’t seen him since we were kids, and this is not the side I would have wanted to show him first. Especially not since he’s grown up to become the most handsome man alive.
