Autumn Daze is a paramedic with a secret. She always appears to be happy and willing to help others in need, but nobody knows anything about her life. Suddenly she starts showing up to work in pain, covered in bruises. She does her best to hide it, but when her friends start getting involved, she has to figure out what to do. She can’t ask for help, her secret is too important.
Mark Owens, a detective with the state police, has a problem with abuse. He grew up watching it happen every day and couldn’t do anything about it. Now he has the power to help, but Autumn refuses to let him in. He knows she is in trouble, but Mark’s team of bodyguards have their work cut out for them.
There is an unknown threat in the storm. Someone wants Autumn dead. Can Mark and the team protect her from what they can’t see or will she disappear into the night?
