Everything I’ve ever known is a lie. I’m no longer the person I used to be. The lies, the betrayal, the scars, they changed me. I don’t know who I am anymore, but I’m faking it until my mask falls. The worst part is, I wouldn’t even recognize him if we crossed each other on the street.
I chase the illusion.
I chase after a person that has become a ghost to me. I see him in everything I touch. Who knew that while I was falling in love, he was falling from existence. He bruised my brain, cut open my heart, only to show me that some things are better left to the imagination.
